Pakistan (PAK) will be hosting New Zealand (NZ) in the fourth match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on April 20. New Zealand won the third match by four runs to avoid a series loss after heavy defeats in the opening two games of the five-match series. Tom Latham played a captain's knock by smashing 64 off 49 to help New Zealand score 163/5 while batting first. The star pacers Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf picked two wickets each while spinner Shadab Khan took one for Pakistan.
Pakistan lost their openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan early and the middle order also struggled against New Zealand's pace attack. Iftikhar Ahmed, playing at the no.8 position, smashed 60 off 24 to drag Pakistan to the wire but James Neesham struck late to bowl out the hosts on 159 runs. Neesham took three wickets for 38 while Adam Milne and Rachin Ravindra took two wickets each to help the Kiwis clinch a deserving win. This was New Zealand's first T20I win against New Zealand in the last five encounters as Pakistan enter the upcoming game as favorites to seal the series.
