Rawalpindi will lock horns with Sialkot in the 9th match of the Super Eight round of the National T20 Cup 2023 at the United Bank Limited Sports Complex in Karachi on December 03. Both these teams have played one match each so far in the Super Eight round of the tournament which they both won and occupy third and second position respectively.
 
Rawalpindi squared off against Federally Administered Tribal Areas in their last encounter where Rawalpindi won the toss and elected to bowl. FATA started the innings slow and even lost an early wicket but started catching up as the innings progressed. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals but Salman’s knock helped them score a good total of 168 runs. Rawalpindi too lost a wicket early but the second-wicket partnership of 154 runs turned the match around for them. Yasir Khan’s century led them to easily win the game by seven wickets.
Sialkot played against Abbottabad in their last match where the toss was won by Sialkot and they elected to bat. They made a decent start and looked to be in a decent place by the middle of the innings. However, the fall of the second wicket triggered a domino effect as they kept losing wickets one after the other and could only score 119 runs by the end of the innings. Abbottabad scored at a much better pace and had good partnerships for the first two wickets which made the chase for them possible as they won by five wickets.
