West Indies also lost one wicket in the first over, but the openers collected 17 runs. They batted with the same template throughout the innings. By the end of the fifth over, West Indies had lost three wickets and had posted more than half of the target on the board. Sisanda Magala picked up three wickets for 21 runs in two overs, but Powell overshadowed his bowling efforts. Powell remained not out on 43 runs off 18 deliveries and helped the West Indies chase the challenging target in 10.3 overs.
