Sri Lanka A played their first match of the tournament against Bangladesh A, where they batted first after losing the toss. Sri Lanka A posted a mammoth total of 349/8 on 50 overs. Avishka Fernando scored 133 off 124 balls and got some contributions from Minod Bhanuka 57(55), and Pasindu Sooriyabandara 43 runs off 32 balls. Ripon Mondal and Soumya Sarkar scalped three wickets each. Bangladesh A were bundled out for 301 in 48.3 overs. Their top-run scorers were Mohammad Naim 51(39), skipper Saif Hassan 53(46) and Soumya Sarkar 42(36). They tried it till the end, but they fell short by 48 runs off the target. Pramod Madushan and Dushan Hemantha scalped three wickets each. Sahan Arachchige picked up two wickets.

Afghanistan A played their 1st match against Oman A, where they opted to bat. They posted 267/8 on the board in 50 overs. Zubaid Akbari was their top scorer with 79 runs off 84 balls. Skipper Shahidullah Kamal scored 45 runs off 56 balls. Oman A's skipper Aqib Ilyas and Kaleemullah scalped two wickets each. Oman A was bundled out for 195 in 40.3 overs. Shoaib Khan 47(59), Ayaan Khan 47(48) and skipper Aqib Ilyas 39(27) were their top-scorers. Ziar-ur-Rehman and Mohammad Ibrahim Abdulrahimzai scalped three wickets each. Izarulhaq Naveed picked up two wickets. So, both teams will look to carry forward their winning momentum.
