Sydney Sixers Women (SS-W) will be facing struggling Melbourne Renegades Women (MR-W) in the 37th match of the Women's Big Bash League 2022 (WBBL) at Junction Oval in Melbourne on Thursday. Sydney Sixers suffered a big nine-wicket defeat against Perth Scorchers in their last game but remain at top of the league table. Captain Ellyse Perry smashed unbeaten 69 runs off 58 balls to help the Sixers score a big total of 155/5 while batting first. But bowlers failed to defend the target as the Scorchers eased to a win with nine wickets remaining.
Melbourne Renegades Women also suffered a big win against Hobart Hurricanes in their last game and are now placed in the seventh position in the league table with four points from the opening nine games. Their innings collapsed on just 80 runs while batting first with Courtney Webb scoring the highest 30 runs and then the Hurricanes chased the target with eight wickets remaining in just 10.2 overs.
