UAE will be up against New Zealand (NZ) in the 1st T20I match of the New Zealand Tour of the UAE at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on August 17. Both the teams have been in decent form in this format recently. They have each won two matches from their last five T20I matches.
UAE had squared off against Afghanistan in their last encounter, where Afghanistan had won the toss and elected to field. UAE had a dreamy start as their openers slammed half-centuries each, amassing 129 runs for the opening stand. However, the batters who followed next could not carry it forward well and by the end of the innings, could score 163 runs only. Afghanistan had a decent start to the chase and had several good partnerships in their innings. Half-centuries from Ibrahim Zadran and Karim Janat ensured Afghanistan won the match by six wickets.
New Zealand had played against Pakistan in their last encounter, where New Zealand had won the toss and elected to field. Pakistan made a brilliant start by having an opening stand of 51 runs. They lost three wickets on the trot, but a fantastic fourth-wicket partnership did not let them lose track. They finished with a massive total of 193 runs on the board. On the other hand, New Zealand had not started well and had already lost three wickets for a score of 26. Mark Chapman did not let go of the challenge and made a brilliant century which not just brought them back on track and won them the game by six wickets.

Mitchell Santner NZ | ALL
Santner has been a clear match-winner for New Zealand who has scored 530 runs and has scalped 91 wickets in 83 T20Is. He could make a brilliant captain for your fantasy team.
Tim Southee NZ | BOWL
Southee has been leading the side as well as the pace attack for New Zealand. He has taken 134 wickets at an economy of 8.16 in 107 matches. He has scored 261 runs in these matches as well.
Tim Seifert NZ | WK
Seifert is a young and talented wicketkeeper-batter for New Zealand. He has scored 920 runs at a strike rate of 136.49 playing in 43 matches and can make a good pick for captaincy roles.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Ben Lister
NZ | BOWL
Lister has not been doing well in the recent matches he has played. He should not find a place in your fantasy team.
Ethan Dsouza
UAE | BAT
Ethan has not been in too good of a form recently and your team can be made without including him in it.
