Uttarakhand will take on Kerala in the first semi-final game of the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2023 on Tuesday (November 7) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
Uttarakhand defeated Punjab in the quarter-final game by a mere margin of one wicket. They chased down the target of 147 runs on the penultimate delivery of their innings. Amisha Bahukhandi was the pick of the bowlers for Uttarakhand and took two wickets for 27 runs in four overs. Punam Raut and Jasia Akhter made 40-plus runs each. They helped the team reach the semi-final for the first time since making their debut during the 2018-19 season.
Kerala defeated Baroda in their quarter-final game by eight wickets. Baroda were bundled out for just 75 runs in 15.5 overs, and only three batters managed to make a double-digit score. Keerthi James and Najla Noushad picked two wickets each for Kerala. Kerala chased down the target of 76 runs in 12.4 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Vaishna Shibu scored an unbeaten 28 runs off 25 deliveries.
