However, the Vipers were not able to run away with the match as well due to a good contest with the ball by the Emirates. The match got extremely interesting towards the end as Vipers managed to squeeze out the win on the last ball of the game.

Gulf Giants had played against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in their last encounter where Abu Dhabi Knight Riders won the toss and elected to field. Giants did not start well and had lost two wickets within four overs but was followed by a brilliant partnership which was initiated by a fine knock from Chris Lynn. They posted a good total of 161 runs on the board. Knight Riders were off to a quick start as they kept scoring at an aggressive rate. This helped them go on ahead and win the game easily by six wickets.
