Wellington Women will lock horns with Canterbury Women in the Final match of the Women’s Super Smash T20 at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on February 11. Auckland won the match by a good margin of 44 runs. Canterbury played the eliminator match against Otago, where they won the toss and chose to field. The game was affected by rain and shortened to 13 overs a side. Otago could only score 81 runs after losing nine wickets, with Sarah Asmussen taking a fifer. Canterbury chased down the target with three balls to spare and won the match by seven wickets. Laura Hughes played a quickfire innings of 28 off 17 balls.
