It is the second three-match T20I series between the two teams this year. West Indies won the first series by a 3-0 margin in May this year.

Patrick Kruger also had a decent outing with the bat and made 44 runs off 32 deliveries. South Africa posted a total of 174 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Matthew Forede was the pick of the bowlers and took three wickets for 27 runs in four overs.

Alick Athanaze and Shai Hope added 84 runs for the first wicket. Athanaze made 40 runs off 30 deliveries, while Hope scored 51 runs off 36 deliveries. Nicholas Pooran created havoc with his unbeaten knock of 65 runs off 26 deliveries. The West Indies reached the target of 175 runs in 17.5 overs with seven wickets in hand. Ottneil Baartman took two wickets for 30 runs in four overs. Pooran won the Player of the Match award.
