Farhan Saeed the genuine spirit of cricket delivers an impact with his deliveries: Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar might have fans in great number, some for his flowing hair, and others for the style while most loved the raw, challenging pace at which he delivered the cricket ball. Among all these fans is another Pakistan national cricketer Farhan Saeed of the Pakistan’s disabled cricket team.

Saeed fell victim to polio at a very young age and could never use his left-leg with effect. But there was the passion for cricket inside him that pushed hard to overcome the disability and turn it into his special ability.

The Rawalpandi Express inspired him to become a fast bowler says Farhan Saeed as he runs in to bowl another delivery with the crutch in his other hand for support. We can feel the spirit, the passion, his energy, utmost dedication and positivity flow to us from this man.

Though he was inspired by Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar to take up the art, but he has no one else but himself to credit for the unbelievable feat he achieves every time that Saeed runs and delivers the ball.

A best figure of 5-22 from a spell of just 5 over’s tells us he is not only praiseworthy for the effort but for his skill as well. Farhan Saeed told cricket.com.au, “Most of the batsmen find it difficult to bat against me. They come to me after the match telling how confusing it was for them to play against me.

“It is all due my parents’ prayers and my passion for the game that I bowl so well.”

His inspirational journey reached the accomplishment junction when Saeed actually got an opportunity to meet his idol on the back of his own achievement.

“I have met nearly all players of the Pakistan’s national cricket team. Shoaib Akhtar was quite impressed to see me bowling, so much so that after the meeting I read in a newspaper him saying, ‘I went to give tips to a bowler who was on crutches, but after seeing his control on line and length I myself learned many things from him and I urge other bowlers to learn from him.” Said Farhan Saeed who breaks all barriers and pitfalls to become an idol himself!
