Fearing a law suit, Mohammad Shahid takes his wife back home

Out of favor Bangladesh pace bowler, Mohammad Shahid, has been in the news for wrong reasons in the recent times. His personal affairs seems to have overshadowed his professional career at the moment. He has managed to be in the headlines yet again. Recently, Farzana Akhter, wife of the discarded Bangladeshi pacer threatened him with a law suit.

Almost about a couple of months ago, Mohammad Shahid had abandoned his wife and the daughters. Apparently, it was after the birth of his second daughter that Shahid decided to leave his wife and children. Now, with Farzana Akhter approaching the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), the pacer and his family members have taken Farzana back home.

As per the reports in bdcrictime.com, Mohammad Shahid took his wife back home in fear of the law suit threatened by BCB Director Khaled Mahmud Shujon. As per the reports, Shahid’ father and a few other family members went to Farzana’s place in Munshiganj.

They talked to her and took her back to Narayanganj. Farzana, along with her two daughters, agreed to move back to Shahid’s place after Shahid’s father assured her that she will not be tortured again.

BCB’s intructions

Reportedly, the instructions from Khaled Mahmud Shujon were the primary reason why Farzana approached the family court on Wednesday. The documents and details for the case were submitted in the law suit. When Farzana reached her home, she found Shahid’s family members requesting her to head back to their place.

They also requested her to take the law suit back and end the case here itself. Apparently, Farzana was mistreated and tortured by Shahid at home. Mohammad Shahid had married Farzana back in the year 2011. Farzana claimed that Shahid was a good man. However, after being selected in the national side, he started misbehaving with her. Also, he started to have extra marital affairs.
