The Jamaican marauder along with the likes of Kieron Pollard, Chris Gayle, and Dwayne Bravo is one of the fiercest strikers of the ball from the Caribbean Islands. Andre Russell is ruthless when it comes to power-hitting, leaving no half-measures. For the fast hands and the brute force he possesses, even the balls he mishits tends to clear the boundary with ease.

The 31- year old’s strike rate stood at a whopping 204.81 in the IPL 2019. The latest season of the IPL saw Russell gun down most targets from any number of balls with his clean striking of the ball. Often, Andre Russell used to snatch the victories from the jaws of defeat, especially with his fiery display in the death overs.

The Jamaican finished the 2019 season with 510 runs at an average of 56.66, earning the award for the Man of the Tournament. If Russell gets promoted to the top of the order in the upcoming competition, contrary to the last season, it could very well be the start of the tumbling of several records, including that of cracking the fastest century in IPL history.
