3. Virat and AB’s partnership of 215 runs against Mumbai Indians

Another record-breaking partnership between AB and Virat was against Mumbai Indians in 2015. RCB was in trouble with Gayle departing early, but then came a storm that blew apart the ever-strong Mumbai Indians and their bowling. The duo put on an unbeaten stand of 215 runs and helped RCB set a target of 236 runs.

Here, AB started rather calmly, completing his fifty off 29 deliveries. But then he went into beast mode and completed his century in just 47 deliveries. He was thrashing the Mumbai bowlers all round the park. The innings stunned Mumbai Indians supporters as AB went on to reach his second century and his highest in IPL, i.e., 133 runs.

Virat played an able supporting role and smashed an unbeaten 82 runs. This was one of the best partnerships in the history of IPL and it was more significant because it came against a champion Mumbai Indians side.
