Carlos Brathwaite the current captain of Windies T20 team came into the limelight with his match-winning sixes in the final of World T20 in 2016 against England. The life of the all-rounder has changed ever since as he was also made the leader of the pack in the shortest format. Though he was around in the domestic cricket for a long time awaiting the national call-up which he received at the age of 24. However, the video of him walking back to his bowling run-up after breaking the head of the batsman is going viral.

The seam bowling all-rounder is currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Khulna Titans franchise. He has been leading the national side admirably well and recently won a T20 International against England in their own backyard. But his performance has come under the scanner since his heroics in the finals. Though his video is talking point right now when he was only 21-years-old.

Rewind back to 2001

Carlos Brathwaite was playing in the semi-final of Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup when he hit a Donemana batsman in the head with a killer bouncer. The batsman was playing without wearing a helmet and collapsed on the ground suffering from the blow. However, much to the surprise of everyone, Brathwaite didn’t bother to look after the batsman and started walking back to his run-up. The attitude of the bowler left everyone befuddled as the blow was a serious one and it sought the attention of everyone around.

According to eurosport.com, Brathwaite scalped a four-fer in the same match and helped his side Leinster reach the final and also went on to win the tournament. He picked 12 wickets in the competition at an economy of 9.16 runs per over and scored 140 runs with the bat at an average of 35 in five innings.
