It hasn’t been long when we saw former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid in an absolutely different style. He aced the role of an angry man on the streets while being a part of a TV commercial. However, there is more to it and the latest edition of the commercial has more interesting elements. This time around, former Indian cricketers, Venkatesh Prasad, Javagal Srinath, Maninder Singh, and Saba Karim joined in to produce an amazing commercial.

One can imagine Prasad, Srinath, Singh, and Karim in all whites while playing the purest format of the game but one could have never imagined the current version of it. These are the cricket stars of the 80s and 90s and one can only associate calm and serious nature with them. However, in their latest ads, they all are acing the role of boy band stars. Their band name is even stylish and it says ‘Venkaboys.’

Former Indian cricketers shake a leg for a TVC

All four of them can be seen shaking a leg and singing their heart out in the same advertisement. Seeing their astonishing look, social media fans couldn’t stop themselves and flooded Twitter with their comments. India’s star batter Rohit Sharma also joined the bandwagon and added, “From listening to you coach me on the field, to now listening to you sing while I am on my way to the stadium. Venky Bhai. it’s been a journey.”

All the cricketers have shown their amazing style in an advertisement for a credit card bill payment platform. It was the same platform for which Rahul Dravid flaunted his acting skills. The director of his Ad, Ayappa KM stated that it was really so good to see a man out of his comfort zone. Seeing Dravid like that was their biggest victory.

“I think the biggest victory here is that Rahul Dravid looks like a seasoned actor. Let’s be honest, he is known for his cricketing skills much more than his acting skills. So it was very nice to see the feedback, that somewhere we’ve communicated the dark side of Rahul Dravid that doesn’t even exist,!” Ayappa added.
