Indian team has off late been playing soccer as their game to train in sessions ahead of a match. The players dislike playing cricket day in day out before actual action days so to break the monotony they practice and prepare themselves with football.

Happy feet: Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh during their football training

India are set to clash with South Africa in the semi-finals and MS Dhoni in the post match presentation had made it clear that they would continue with the same game as they wait for other teams to qualify.

But, there is no clear benefit that one might have on their performance in cricket by playing football and after the end of the practice session where team India played it bare foot India’s world cup & hero of last win, Yuvraj Singh was seen limping but the seriousness of the injury or cramp was unknown.

Yuvi prefers to wear knee braces during training but this time his left ankle was covered by a crepe bandage as he walked towards the team bus.

As the media tried to inquire about Yuvraj’s condition, Indian team’s trainer Nitin Patel said, “Why are you asking me? You know I am not supposed to answer any questions.”

Someone asked the reason for playing barefoot, Dhoni with a sarcasm said, “Paise khatam ho gaye (We don’t have any money left)”.

We hope the real fighter Yuvraj gets well soon and is fit to help India win this World Cup as well as he has done in the past.
