Trent Boult has carved a reputation for being an integral element of the New Zealand team in all formats of the game. He can make the leather talk by generating prodigious pace and swing from the wickets. The cricketer has recently been bagged by the Delhi Daredevils for INR 2.2 crores in the 2018 auction of the Indian Premier League at Bangalore.

Gautam Gambhir made a comeback to the Daredevils after seven years and has been crowned as the captain of the side. He was an indispensable member of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise having led them to a couple of championship glories. Recently the left-handed batsman praised Boult’s abilities as a seamer in a recent interaction with the media.

Trent Boult- The best in business

The former Knight Rider also hailed the Kiwi as the deadliest left-arm seamer in international cricket. “I believe Boult is the best left-arm fast bowler in the world right now. People do talk a lot about Mitchell Starc as well but Trent Boult on the given day can be as lethal as anyone else in the world. He can swing the ball at 135 Km/ph.” Gambhir said.

Boult has earlier played under the leadership of Gambhir when the Kiwi pacer was drafted in by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017 for INR 5 crores. The pacer has been impressive in the shortest format of the game and Delhi would hope for Boult to fire on all cylinders in the upcoming season. The team has had the repertoire to roll over oppositions over the years.

However, despite their resourceful flock of cricketers, the franchise has blown hot and cold in the tournament. With Gambhir back as their skipper, the Daredevils would be hoping to turn their fortunes around in the eleventh season of the cash-rich T20 league.
