Veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh turned 37 on Monday, July 3, and his wife Geeta Basra had a special message for him. Her Instagram post wished him a happy birthday as she also expressed her love for the hubby and the hashtags she used certainly tell us that Bhajji is an excellent partner and the couple complement each other really well.

Harbhajan and Geeta have been married for almost two years now. The two tied knot in 2015 in Jalandhar and their wedding celebrations were attended by stars of the Indian team including Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh. Bhajji and Basra were in a relationship since several years before they got married.

The offie has been out of the Indian side for quite a while. His last international appearance for India came in March 2016 in a T20I against UAE in Dhaka. However, Bhajji is one of India’s most experienced cricketers in the circuit and has been a part of 103 Test matches where he has picked 417 wickets.

Harbhajan Singh’s achievements

In the one-dayers, he has bagged 269 dismissals in 236 matches. Apart from his ability to fox batsmen with the off-spinner and the doosra, Harbhajan Singh is also known to smash the ball out of the park. His hard-hitting abilities with the bat lower down the order have helped India on many occasions. The right-hander has scored two hundreds in the longest format of the game and has a best individual score of 115.

In 2001, Harbhajan Singh became the first Indian bowler to pick up a hat-trick in Test cricket. Bhajji achieved this remarkable feat against Australia in the historic Eden Gardens Test which witnessed VVS Laxman’s unbeaten 281. Bhajji’s victims in the momentous hat-trick were Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist and Shane Warne. India went on to clinch the game, which also ushered the rise of Indian cricket against the big guns such as Australia.

Harbhajan Singh has also been a part of two victorious world cup campaigns under the leadership of MS Dhoni. He played a vital role in the inaugural 2007 World T20 and the 2011 World Cup which India won on home soil.

Here is Geeta’s post- “Happy burrdayyyy Pati Dev.. love you ?❤️?????? #bestlifepartner #soulmate #birthdayboy @harbhajan3.”
