India’s out of favour wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, on Tuesday, came up with a series of tweets stating that he is not willing to expose the name of the journalist who threatened him on grounds of humanity. However, he also fired a warning saying that if such an incident happens again, he will not hold back. When Saha had shared a WhatsApp chat regarding the same, he had received a lot of support from Indian cricketing fraternity.

Virender Sehwag was one of the first former cricketers to come out in his support. He had slammed the ‘respected’ journalist left, right and centre. And even now, post Saha’s clarification, he is the first to react and wants the cricketer to name the journalist who threatened him for not giving an interview.

Sehwag felt that the 37-year-old should reveal the name in public so that no other cricketer suffers again in future. He also praised Wriddhiman Saha for his kind nature but felt it is important that he takes the tough step.

“Dear Wriddhi, it’s not your nature to harm others and you are a wonderful guy. But to prevent such harm from happening to anyone else in the future , it’s important for you to name him. Gehri saans le, aur naam bol daal,” Sehwag wrote in his tweet.

What had Saha tweeted?

Earlier in the day, Wriddhiman Saha had come up with a series of tweets thanking everyone for the support during this tough period. He admitted to have been hurt with the messages from a journalist but stressed that it won’t be good to name him for the sake of the latter’s career.

” I was hurt and offended. I thought not to tolerate such kind of behaviour and didn’t want anyone to go through these kind of bullying. I decided I will go out and expose the chat in public eye, but not his/her name. My nature isnt such that I will harm anyone to the extent of ending someone’s career.

“So on grounds of humanity looking at his/her family, I am not exposing the name for the time being. But if any such repetition happens, I will not hold back. I thank each and everyone who has shown support and extended their willingness to help. My gratitude,” Saha had tweeted.
