The second edition of the Global T20 Canada is currently in progress and some of the top international cricketers are flaunting their skills in the competition. The Edmonton Royals and the Brampton Wolves locked horns in the match 6 of the tournament which saw Shahid Afridi lighting up the stadium with his exceptional hitting. He remained unbeaten on 81 off just 40 deliveries with 10 fours and five sixes to propel his team to 207 runs after 20 overs.

However, his humourous side took over in the last ball of the innings when Wahab Riaz called him for the second run. After playing so well, Afridi was waiting to launch the final ball of the 20th over into the stands but he could only hit the ball towards the long-on fielder and strolled for a single.

At the same time, his partner Wahab Riaz asked him if he wanted to take a couple of runs to which Shahid Afridi hilariously responded stating he is yet to bowl. “Lala doosra run lena hai kya? (Lala should we take a second run?)” Wahab asked to which the former Pakistan cricketer replied, “Pagal hai. Bowling koun karega? (Are you mad? Who will bowl then?)”

Their conversation was clearly captured by the stump microphone and even one of the commentators explained what Afridi had to say to his partner. The video is going viral on social media and the fans are enjoying it to the hilt.

Brampton win the match easily

As far as the match is concerned, Brampton Wolves, riding on Shahid Afridi’s whirlwind knock, won the match comfortably 27 runs. The veteran returned with the figures of 1/31 with the ball in his three overs as the Edmonton Royals could only score 180 runs in their 20 overs. After the match, the 39-year-old conceded that he was tired and thanked god that there is a break before their next match.

“I’m feeling very tired and the atmosphere of the dressing room is very good. Thankfully there is enough recovery time before the next match. The pitch was really good and I hope the crowd enjoyed it,” Afridi said in the presentation ceremony.
