The Yuvraj Singh-captained Toronto Nationals didn’t make the greatest of starts in the 2019 edition of the Global T20 Canada. Defending champions Vancouver Knights demolished them by eight wickets with 16 balls to spare at the CAA Centre, Brampton, Ontario. Though Yuvraj and Calum MacLeod played 50 balls for 31 runs, the Nationals managed to put up a respectable 159 in 20 overs.

However, Chadwick Walton and Rassie van der Dussen picked the bones out of them and chased the target down with 16 balls to spare. The Nationals will have a chance of making amends in the next match against the Edmonton Royals. The task won’t be easy as the Royals boast of some classy names in their repertoire, involving the likes of Kane Williamson, James Neesham and Faf du Plessis.

Match Details

The 3rd match of the Global T20 Canada 2019 will be played between Toronto Nationals and Edmonton Royals at the CAA Centre, Brampton, Ontario.

The match starts at 12:30 PM local time (10:00 PM IST) (4:30 PM GMT).

Pitch Report

The pitch in the first game was a tad on the slower side and restricting batsmen is possible. But a bowler can travel the distance if they err in line and lengths. It was also seen that the track eased out for batting in the second half. Hence, it would be safe to field first after winning the toss.
