Brampton Wolves will face Edmonton Royals in the Global T20 Canada 2019 during the second game on Sunday. The Wolves made an impressive start to the tournament with a huge win against Montreal Tigers on Saturday evening. The Montreal team got off to a good start making 37/0 in just 3.1 overs. They crossed the 50-run mark in only 5.1 overs for the loss of a wicket before Ish Sodhi was introduced. The Kiwi leg-spinner came to bowl for the first time in 7th over and bowled all four overs at a go.

He ended up with figures of 5/8 as the Tigers were bundled out for only 101. George Munsey struck six sixes and five fours on his way through to an unbeaten 63 off 24 balls in the chase. His opening partner Lendl Simmons struck 16-ball 37* with six maximums as Wolves reached the target in only 6.4 overs without losing a wicket. Edmonton Royals, on the other hand, went down in a thriller against Toronto Nationals, who’s lower order led a stunning fightback.

Pitch Report:

The Brampton pitch has gone from being slow to good for batting. The matches on Sunday are expected to be played on the unused pitch. The track for the first game of the day could be on the slower side but as the day progresses, it will get better for batters. The short boundaries at the venue make things interesting for chasing sides when they are behind a near impossible equation.
