India locked horns with Australia in their second warm-up game of the T20 World Cup. However, something that grabbed the attention of the netizens is Virat Kohli taking the charge of the ball. Rohit Sharma had captained the side for this practice match and had opened up on Hardik Pandya’s recovery at the toss.
Pandya hasn’t bowled a lot of overs ever since he has made his comeback from the back injury. This has made the Indian management put their thinking hats on for an extra bowling option. With the all-rounder still not available with his quota of overs, Kohli chimed into bowl a few overs in the match. Mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy was quite expensive with the ball and that is when Kohli came into bowl two overs and conceded 12 runs.
Kohli has often led the side to victory with his batting heroics and hardly takes up the duties with the ball. Previously, former India skipper MS Dhoni used him as a part-time seamer on a few occasions in search of much-needed breakthroughs. However, when the star batter was seen bowling in the practice game the cricketing fraternity reacted to it in numbers.
Here is how Twitter reacted after Virat Kohli was brought into the action with the ball:
This over made me realise that Kohli is the greatest right arm quick bowler

Rohit Sharma's tactical nous:
Brought Virat Kohli in to bowl earlier than Varun Chakravarthy, the former having a better economy than the latter, and Ravindra Jadeja. #AUSvsIND pic.twitter.com/VaJJQRVmi7— Rahul Pandey (@sportstoryguy) October 20, 2021
