Gujarat Titans had a memorable time in their first-ever edition of the tournament in IPL 2022 as they clinched the title with the help of all-round performances from the entire circuit. The then-skipper Hardik Pandya showed great signs of maturity in his first season as a captain. They continued their dominance and reached the final of IPL 2023 but were defeated by Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
After Hardik was traded to Mumbai Indias (MI), GT appointed Shubman Gill as their new captain. GT have already played 2 matches in the current season. They won their first match against MI and lost the second one to CSK.
Dhoni-led Chennai have added some great players to the team in this edition and are having a good balance between bat and ball. A lot of international all-rounders and game-changers are a part of the CSK camp. They would look to bounce back to winning ways.
