Gulbadin Naib, the Afghanistan fast bowler has come up with some strong statements over the board officials and players. He looked quite vocal about the same on social media after Afghanistan cricket board re-appointed Asghar Afghan as the skipper of the team replacing Rashid Khan.

Naib had replaced Afghan three months before the World Cup 2019 and went onto lead the team in the marquee event. However, Afghanistan performed poor in the ICC tournament and ACB was forced to hand over the reins to young Rashid.

Under Rashid Khan, the national team recently had to face a whitewash in three-match ODI series against West Indies. But, won T20I series by 2-1 against the same opponent. Now, the decision from ACB to re-appoint Asghar Afghan as the skipper across all the formats has certainly raised many eyebrows.

Gulbadin Naib on December 11 threatened the board that he will expose all the fishy things going inside the board and team. He also added that if the appropriate steps will not be taken by the officials, then he will reveal everything in the public. According to him, there were many players in the team who had underperformed during the World Cup 2019 because he was the skipper of the team. He even revealed the fact that many players accepted the fact that they initially didn’t perform well in the mega event in front of the cricket board.

The former Afghanistan skipper took to his Twitter and in a series of tweets, he wrote, “Has anything been done about such betrayal? For public interest, if D authorities don’t take appropriate actions, I will publicly name & shame every single one from gov officials to board members, players and ex-board and management members. Stay tuned… long life my beloved,”

“The same circle have access all the way to some high-level gov officials, who have influence over the cricket board and management. Some blatantly admitted to the board that they were not performing as they were supposed to during world cup because of my captaincy,”

“I know most of you may ask why have i not spoken publicly against these ppl/mafia circle before. I have been sidelined and promised, by the authorities and other stakeholders that they will sort the mess in the cricket team and promised immediate changes & banning of this circle,” his tweet read.
