We’ve often seen fans on social media passing judgement on cricketers. Recently, after MS Dhoni batted slow in a T20I against New Zealand, many fans asked for his retirement from the shorter format. Since Dhoni is known to have a calm personality, he didn’t really comment on the matter to and was rather cool about it.

Today, a Twitter user asked Harbhajan Singh to retire and stop making a fool out of himself. However, the Punjab cricketer who has been known to give it back didn’t mince words against the critic. His befitting reply silenced the hater as fans appreciated the response.

Harbhajan shared a picture of him practising on Twitter. He tweeted, “Back to the basics”

However, a Twitter user engaged in a banter. He asked the Indian off-spinner to retire with grace and not make a fool out of him.

He tweeted, “As the saying goes “U can’t teach an old dog new tricks” Bhajji ur best days r over realise it n call it a day. Retire with grace from international cricket. Don’t make a fool of urself like some of ur predecessors is all I can say.”

Seems like the guy messed up with the wrong man. Bhajji as he’s referred to by his teammates, gave him a stunning reply. He asked the Twitter user to continue to bark as he kept learning new things.

He tweeted, “Old dog like u can only bark..so plz continue to do that.this is what u have learn I think all ur life..you have already lost the battle coz u have given up on learning new things. Everyday there is new thing to learn. Provided we want to learn. Don’t teach others ur ways”

His response was lauded by the fans. While some appreciated his answer to the critic, others encouraged him to continue working hard. Harbhajan hasn’t made any international appearance since playing against UAE in the 2016 Asia Cup.
