Hardik Pandya, the prolific Indian all-rounder is currently set away from the national side as he is not fully recovered from his back surgery. It’s been almost six months that the fans have not seen the exciting player wear the Indian jersey in an international game. However, now there is good news for them as the right-handed all-rounder is all set to mark his return back in cricket by playing in a local T20 tournament.

The 26-year-old sustained a back injury during the last T20I against South Africa in the year 2019. It was a major setback for Team India as a part of their T20 World Cup preparations that is scheduled to take place in Australia in October. So, BCCI recommended him for surgery and he travelled to London for the same. After a successful surgery, the fans had expected that he might get fully fit by the time of an important tour to New Zealand but that was not the case.

Hardik Pandya will mark his arrival with DY Patil T20 tournament

He was selected in India A squad for the one-day games. But, due to the lack of match fitness, he was pulled out from the series. In the previous month, he again travelled to London for the final check-up of his spin from the specialist Dr James Allibone. And, currently, he is undergoing through the rehabilitation programme conducted by National Cricket Academy.

The fans have been waiting for their favourite player to hit the ground as soon as possible. Now there is good news for them as Hardik Pandya is all set to hit the ground in the DY Patil T20 tournament. As per the reports of Mid-Day, Pandya will be spotted wearing the Reliance outfit in that tournament.

Not just for fans but it is good news for Team India, who had to suffer a whitewash in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand. There is no doubt over the fact that Virat Kohli and Co. seriously missed the services of Hardik Pandya that might have helped them in winning the 50-over series against the BlackCaps.

This also confirms that Hardik Pandya will be back in cricket ahead of Indian Premier League 2020 that is slated to begin from 28th of March 2020.
