Talented Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has had a tumultuous time in the last few months. Back on September 19 during India’s clash against arch-rivals Pakistan in the 2018 Asia Cup at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the 25-year-old developed an acute lower back injury while bowling. He fell on his run-up and was unable to even stand on his feet.

He was subsequently carried off on a stretcher. Later the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) updated about the injury and he was ruled out of the mega tournament. He also couldn’t play the Test, ODI and T20I series against Windies back in October and November, To add to his agony, he also missed the bus for the T20Is and four-match Test series against Australia.

However, he has shown signs of fitness and is all geared up to make his international comeback. The pugnacious potential is scheduled to play in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. He will play for Baroda in their match against Mumbai, which starts on Friday, December 14. In the meantime, it has been learned that Hardik is trying his heart out to get himself at the earliest.

As per reports in Sportstar Live, he trained hard with a top-flight cricket team for the first time in nearly three months at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He was closely monitored by Ashutosh Nimse, the Mumbai Indians’ physiotherapist besides Baroda coach Atul Bedade and his assistant Rakesh Patel. He won’t want to let go of the opportunity by any means.

Hardik has thus far played 11 Tests, 42 ODIs and 35 T20Is in which he has scored 532, 670 and 271 runs respectively. Moreover, he has notched 17, 40 and 33 wickets respectively in the three formats. After his limited-overs debut back in January 2016, he forayed into Test cricket last year against Sri Lanka. The Baroda cricketer is also expected to play a crucial role in next year’s World Cup.
