Quora is always a fun place, you get to ask questions and then there are millions eager to answer them. You also have this opportunity to ask it to people specifically. Cricket, as we know runs in our blood and there are tons of posts on Quora on various cricketing topics. One such question was about Indian limited-overs skipper MS Dhoni’s captaincy and the users desired an answer on it from commentator Harsha Bhogle.

The question read: Dhoni is accused of excluding players he dislikes from playing in a game. What are your views on this, Harsha? Is he being too mean to Pathan?

Harsha has been the one guy who has seen a lot of things in Indian cricket from close quarters though he is a commentator shares a great relationship with a lot of cricketers to get to know how they think, what they feel and is a reasonable guy to look up to for such an answer. He did reply to it but said he wasn’t aware if Dhoni actually does that. “I don’t know if Dhoni does that and I am being completely honest.” He said.

Most captains and usually the successful ones have been accused of backing a certain player beyond a point or looking over someone which is now a part of captaincy and Harsha answered on similar lines saying, “He (Dhoni) is a very private man and in any case, captains are entitled to pick players they believe in because eventually, the wins and losses go against your name. You will find almost every captain in the world accused of picking certain players and dropping others. Pathan has played the last couple of games but sadly, hasn’t had too many opportunities. I would love to see him do well because I admired his attitude when he was a regular India player.”

His answer received 9.4k up votes which can be equated to agreeing with what he said.
