Star Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali is a very lively character and never fails to entertain his fans both on and off the cricket field. The right-arm pacer did something humorous during the intra-squad match being played at Rawalpindi on June 29 (Wednesday).

It all started when Hasan shouted for an LBW appeal which was eventually declined by the on-field umpire. Even though it looked like a close call as batter Agha Salman was pinned by a quick delivery from Hasan Ali, the umpire thought otherwise. The right-arm pacer then rushed towards the official and tried to forcefully lift his fingers which created a light moment on the field as everyone laughed about it.

Pakistan are set to play Sri Lanka in two Test matches next

It must be noted that Pakistan are set to play two Test matches against another Asian side in the form of Sri Lanka. The first Test match will start on July 16 in Galle. Similarly, the second match will be played in Colombo commencing on July 24. Pakistan skipper and prominent batter Babar Azam will lead the side with leg-spinner Yasir Shah being recalled to the team for the upcoming tour.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief selector Mohammad Wasim emphasized the fact that Yasir’s inclusion would improve the team’s spin attack. “Our spin department is boosted with the return of Yasir, who proved himself as a match-winner,” said Wasim.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has also confirmed the series. “Pakistan will play a three-day warm-up match between 11-13 July in Colombo while the first Test will be played at Galle from 16-20 July,” SLC said. At present, Sri Lanka are facing Australia in a two-match Test series.

The home side is in a little trouble after losing all ten wickets on the first day of the contest. Veteran spinner Nathan Lyon scalped a five-wicket haul for the visitors. Both the teams will be looking to gain an upper hand during Day 2 of the match.
