Mohammed Shami’s personal life has been under the spotlight for quite a few weeks now. Mohammed Shami played the first match of the IPL for the Delhi Daredevils despite the pressing issues he has to deal with domestically at the moment. His wife Hasin Jahan has filed a domestic violence against the Indian pacer.

Mohammed Shami cleared of match-fixing

Earlier, Hasin Jahan had alleged that Mohammed Shami is involved in fixing matches. BCCI took note of this and held back his central contract, but Shami received a big reprieve when BCCI’s anti-corruption unit cleared the charges levied against him. The BCCI decided to include him in the central contract, a step which allowed him to feature in the IPL for Delhi Daredevils. All seemed to be going well before Hasin Jahan decided to file a domestic violence case in the Alipore court.

Some big charges levied

Shami’s wife had lodged several complaints in the police station against Shami but she has increased Shami’s problems by filing a case in court. His wife Hasin has levied some grave charges under sections, 307 (attempt to murder), 498A (domestic violence), 506 (criminal intimidation), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 34 (acts by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 376 (rape).

These charges are serious and it has come as a setback for the pace bowler. The West Bengal fast bowler was close to making a return as his career is looking to be back on track, but his personal life is still complicated.

Mohammed Shami had earlier come out claiming his innocence after getting a clean chit from the BCCI.

“A lot of dirty allegations were leveled against me as well as my family which I don’t think anyone will admit. As I have got a clean chit by the BCCI, I am hoping to come out innocent over every allegation. So, I am hopeful of not getting convicted for the offence which I have not done,” Shami had said after getting a clean chit from the BCCI according to the Times Now.
