Mohammed Shami’s tussle with spouse Hasin Jahan has grabbed the headlines in the last couple of weeks. The altercation started when Jahan leaked some Facebook and Whatsapp chats of Shami and thereafter accused him of multiple charges which included extra-marital affairs, domestic violence, taking bribe, and death threats. The issue worsened with every passing day as there was a new revelation from either side.
However, the tables turned yesterday when the Indian fast bowler was cleared of the match-fixing charges by the Anti-Corruption Unit of the BCCI and awarded a Grade-B contract, which must not have come as a delightful news for Hasin Jahan. To add to Shami’s joy the pacer has also been cleared to play for the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League (IPL), which starts next month.
However, Hasin Jahan isn’t ready to drop the gun just yet. Previously, she requested Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal to meet her. As per reports, Jahan recently met with the CM in the state assembly on Friday afternoon, where they chatted for somewhere around 10 minutes.

Sources close to Jahan were reported as saying that the Chief Minister assured her that further investigations would be carried based on her complaints. Shami has already been given a clean chit for the allegations of match-fixing. The BCCI’s Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) presented a report where they mentioned that no further probe is required on the matter.
After being declared innocent, Shami also took to Twitter and shared a heartfelt message for his followers. Nevertheless, Mohammed Shami has only been cleared from the match-fixing charges. The investigations of the remainder of the accusations- mental and physical abuse along with an attempt to murder is still underway and the Kolkata police is working on the matter.
