Hasin Jahan's lawyer adds one more in the long list of Allegations Against Mohammed Shami

On Wednesday, Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami and wife Hasin Jahan uploaded a string of screenshots of personal chats of Shami on Messenger and WhatsApp, to back her accusation of her husband having illicit relationships with a number of women. Hasin, who is an ex-model and a former cheerleader for Kolkata Knight Riders, married the 28-year-old in 2014. The couple had a daughter in 2015 and shared social media pictures together with the newborn.

However, Hasina claims that she has been physically and mentally abused by the Bengal pacer throughout their 4 years of marriage. Over and above that, she brings forward the accusations that Shami has been having extramarital affairs for some time now, about which she kept mum for all this time. But certain latest developments have made her break the silence.

Shami had proposed to a Pakistan woman several times

As the latest revelation, her lawyer Zakir Hussain says that there is one particular Pakistani woman whom he wants to get married to; and this led to the social media explosion oh his wife.

“There is Pakistani woman with whom Mohammed Shami has a relationship. Shami had proposed to marry this woman, which led to the outburst of his wife,” Hussain said. “That was the triggering point when Mohammed Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan made public outburst about Shami’s multiple relationships,” he added.

But the fact that Hussain claims there is a clandestine international racket of sex trafficking and match-fixing behind the whole scenario, makes the situation even more complicated.

Hussain spoke to Mumbai Mirror, “There is a man called Mahmud Bhai from Manchester through whom Indian pace bowler Mohammed Shami got introduced to this Pakistani woman.” He went on to add, “There might be some betting racket as well. That is my presumption. There was an international sex racket operating, through which these two men were linked.”

Hasina Jahan also says in a number of interviews that Shami took some money from a Pakistani woman called Alisbah in Dubai. As an immediate measure, BCCI has withheld their contracts with Shami until further investigation can pursue. Committee chairman Vinod Rai described the situation to be a Catch-22 to ESPNcricinfo. On Thursday, Hasina Jahan finally filed an official complaint against her husband at the Kolkata Police Headquarters, Lalbazar.

Mohammed Shami has however denied every accusation so far and said he will take necessary legal steps regarding the whole situation.
