Players in the Indian cricket fraternity share a great camaraderie and rapport among themselves. It was all on display during the wedding reception hosted in Mumbai by Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma where the bonding between all the cricketers was clearly visible.
All of them had fun, danced and clicked pictures with each other and it is no surprise that they pull each other’s leg often too. This fun was not confined to just the event as it extended on the social media too.
Yuvraj Singh and Sagarika Ghatge, who recently married Zaheer Khan were seen twinning, meaning both of them wore the dresses of same colour and Sagarika mentioned that in the caption of an Instagram picture with Yuvraj “#twinning with Mr Singh @yuvisofficial – Missed you @hazelkeechofficial”
Hazel Keech, Yuvraj Singh’s wife was not present in the function and in jest, she instantly sent a cheeky reply to Sagarika where she appeared to deliberately act possessive and jealous about not being around her husband.
“I feel like I should have had a matching outfit with @zaheer_khan34 to keep up with the equilibrium ??,” she said.
The wedding season has been an eventful one for the Indian cricketers. It started with Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge getting married in late November. It was followed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s wedding to his childhood friend Nupur Nagar in early December.
Then followed the private but not so secretive fairy-tale wedding of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma in Tuscany, Italy and their grand reception in Delhi and Mumbai each. Mumbai Indians and Baroda all-rounder Krunal Pandya too got married to his girlfriend Pankhuri Sharma this week.
After all of these festivities have come to an end, the Indian cricket team headed to South Africa today, where they will be facing the Proteas for three Tests, six ODIs and 3 T20Is. The tour commences on January 5, with the first Test being played in Cape Town.
