There is absolutely no denying that the fans love Harsha Bhogle’s knack of playing with words. While commentators usually remain stuck to describing just the happenings on the field, Bhogle has made the fans fall in love with him with his unique way of commentary. Bhogle puts more emphasis on his rich vocabulary as well and also relies more on fascinating anecdotes to make things interesting for the fans.

The fans once again witnessed Bhogle’s fine use of words on Thursday when the ace commentator wished Ravichandran Ashwin and his wife Prithi on the couple’s eighth wedding anniversary. The two celebrated the special day on 13 November. Ashwin and Prithi had entered the wedlock in 2011 and are proud parents to a baby girl.

It all started when Prithi took to Twitter to express her feelings over her anniversary. Adding a funny angle to her tweet, Prithi wrote, “8 with @ashwinravi99. Hard work.”

And it was soon followed by hundreds of messages from fans and others as everyone wished Ashwin and his wife on the special day. Bhogle also wished the two but in his own amicable manner. He retweeted the picture and wrote, “He bowls long spells Prithi! Good to see you are padded up for a long innings.”

Ashwin and Prithi’s love story, meanwhile, is nothing less than a typical Bollywood movie. The journey started when they were studying at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan in Chennai. With the passage of time, their bond only grew stronger. The love birds went on to do their B.Tech in Information Technology from SSN College of Engineering in Chennai.

This is where the love between the two blossomed and the two decided to get married. The two entered the wedlock in 2011 after Ashwin’s successful entry in international cricket. The off-spinner was a part of the World Cup-winning team in 2011 and soon became the Test spin spearhead.

The off-spinner is currently playing the tw0-match Test series against Bangladesh. First Test is being played in Indore and the second game of the series will be played under lights at Eden Gardens from 22nd of November.
