Veteran Australian opener David Warner has responded to the recent remarks made by young Indian chinaman Kuldeep Yadav. Yadav, who recently bagged a hattrick in international cricket, had mentioned that he likes bowling to Warner. In his short international career thus far, Kuldeep has managed to dismiss Warner on a couple of occasions.

The 22-year old had went on to quote that David Warner takes pressure when he plays him. Also, he had added that he loves to bowl against the Aussie opener. He feels positive about dismissing him whenever he is up against him.

“I guess he (Warner) takes pressure while batting against me, and feels I can get him out anytime. It’s good that there’s no pressure on me and I enjoy bowling to him. I always feel to get him out and set my plans accordingly. I will try to get him out more,” Kuldeep had quoted.

Warner’s response

Now, as per the quotes in CricketAddictor, David Warner has responded back to Kuldeep’s comments. He credited the youngster for his hattrick in the Kolkata ODI. However, he added that the youngster should not let this go to his head. He maintained that with a handful of matches under his belt, Kuldeep’s remarks are similar to what any youngster in international cricketer would have.

“I like Kuldeep’s confidence. Credit to him for the way he bowled (in Kolkata). But the pressure is on him to perform, not me. You have played two Test matches and nine ODIs – when you are young, you have that confidence. I remember I had that kind of confidence when I was young and probably said things I would not now,” responded David Warner.

“He has been doing well and he has confidence that is what he brings to the table. But when he speaks like that, he is bringing the pressure on himself,” he added further.
