‘He loved you Jaddu’ – Harsha Bhogle reminisces the conversation he had with Shane Warne about Ravindra Jadeja, all-rounder responds

Australian spin-bowling icon Shane Warne breathed his last on 4th March 2022, and the sudden passing away of the leg spinner has sent the cricket world into a state of shock. Warne reportedly died of a heart attack.

And, Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja had taken to Twitter to offer his condolences on Warne’s untimely death and also admitted that he is shocked upon hearing the news. And to that, veteran Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle tweeted that Warne loved Ravindra Jadeja.

Bhogle also added that Warne had called the Indian all-rounder as a Rockstar, and stated that the Aussie was fond of him. “He loved you Jaddu. Remember the time in ’08 at the DY Patil Stadium….He called you over and said to me “This kid is a rockstar”. We chatted more than once about you and he was very fond of you and of Yusuf,” tweeted Harsha Bhogle.

And, Jadeja responded to Harsha Bhogle and tweeted that he still remembers the chat. Jadeja once again stated that the death of Warne is a really sad news. “Yes harsha bhai, I still remember that chat. Really sad news,” tweeted Ravindra Jadeja.

Shane Warne will go down as one of the greatest bowlers ever, in the history of international cricket. The Aussie spin bowling maestro is the 2nd highest wicket-taker in Test match cricket with 708 scalps to his name and has also taken another 293 wickets in the ODI format of the game as well.

Warne has taken a total of 38 five-wicket hauls in his international career. The bowling maestro played his last match for the Australian side in the year 2007. After his retirement, Warne had transitioned to the commentary box and was offering his expert opinion on the game of cricket.
