While the Indian team lost the second T20 fixture at Centurion, skipper Virat Kohli won the hearts of million fans with his Instagram post. He posted an adorable picture with his better-half Anushka Sharma which sent social media into a frenzy. While many speculated that the Bollywood actress had travelled all the way to the Rainbow Nation to meet the Indian cricket team skipper, it was actually a throwback picture from Kohli which was clicked even before the couple got hitched in December.

There were some more pictures of the couple which resurfaced later where they were wearing the exact same clothes which unveiled the fact that the picture was taken when the couple had visited the MET Cloisters, Manhattan in New York.

The couple had tied the knot last year on December 11 in a private cosy affair at Tuscany in Italy before throwing two grand receptions in India – Delhi and Mumbai – which was followed by a New Year’s Eve celebration in South Africa.

“My one and only,” the Indian skipper had captioned his Instagram post. Anushka too commented on Kohli’s Instagram post, and the comment clarified that she didn’t, in fact, go to South Africa. “I miss you too my love”, the actress who is busy with her upcoming horror flick ‘Pari’, had written.

Anushka was in attendance for the first couple of Tests that the Indian cricket team played against the Proteas and had to leave for India owing to her acting commitments.

Series Details

Kohli, meanwhile, saw his team go down to the hosts in 2nd T20I in Centurion, with the result levelling the series 1-1. Despite a nervy start, the Proteas cruised to their chase of 189 with fair ease at the end. The constant drizzle during the second half of the game also enhanced the surface for batting.

The two teams now meet in the deciding third fixture in Cape Town on February 24.
