Younis Khan becomes the highest run scorer for Pakistan in Tests: Younis Khan became the highest run getter for Pakistan in Test Cricket by over hauling Javed Miandad’s 8836 runs during the ongoing 1st Test match against England at Abu Dhabi.
Younis Khan, playing in his 104th test match got past Miandad with a six over mid-wicket region off Moeen Ali. Younis needed 19 runs to go past Miandad before the game and the six from right hander’s bat ensured it.
Interestingly, Inzamam-ul-Haq’s last Test innings came on 12th October, 2007 where he fell 3 runs short of Miandad as he went down the ground for a big heave but got stumped.
38 year old, Younis Khan also holds the record for most centuries in this format for Pakistan with 30 tons.
