Suryakumar Yadav being snubbed by the national selectors once again for the upcoming tour of Australia has caused quite a storm in the Indian cricket fraternity. The Mumbai star was widely tipped to earn his maiden call-up from the senior team after constantly impressing in domestic cricket and in the Indian Premier League (IPL) including the ongoing season.

However, the selectors decided against picking him for the challenging tour. The right-handed batsman has proved his class in the ongoing IPL 2020 too. After scoring 512 and 424 runs in the previous two seasons of the tournament, Suryakumar Yadav has already scored 410 runs in the ongoing edition. With Mumbai Indians set to play at least two more games, he will only increase his impressive tally.

And the 30-year old batsman must be looking to deliver big in the remaining matches of IPL 2020 after BCCI president Sourav Ganguly’s latest comments for him. The former India skipper’s comments should calm the nerves of Suryakumar as he desperately waits for his first break in international cricket. Ganguly lavished praise on the batsman and said the batsman’s time will come.

“He is a very good player. His time will come,” Ganguly told Hindustan Times.
