Holi 2022: Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli lead cricket fraternity in wishing fans

The whole of India is celebrating the festival of colors today (18th March 2022). The festival of Holi mainly signifies the victory of the good over the bad. This is believed to be the day when Prahlad, was protected by god Vishnu and his nemesis, Holika was burned to ashes.

And, to celebrate this auspicious occasion, several cricketers have taken to social media to send their wishes. Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar posted a picture of his face covered in different colours. “Adding more colours to your feed,” read the tweet from the ‘Little Master’.

Indian batting colossus Virat Kohli also took to Twitter to post his Holi greetings to everyone. Kohli wished that the festival brings peace to the lives of people. “May the spirit of this festival fill our lives with happiness and peace. Happy Holi to all,” read the tweet from Virat Kohli.

Cricket stars post their Holi wishes on social media

Apart from Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, several other cricketers also took to Twitter to post their Holi greetings. Former Indian batter Mohammad Kaif remembered how he used to celebrate the festival of Holi during his childhood days. “We would play with colours from morning, be unrecognisable by afternoon, take a dip in Sangam ghaat be evening, Holi of my childhood in Allahabad the most colourful, the very best,” read the tweet from Mohammad Kaif.

Swashbuckling Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant took to Twitter and posted several pictures of him enjoying Holi with his friends. “Wishing everyone a very Happy Holi! Play safe and have an incredible year ahead,” read the tweet from Rishabh Pant.

Meanwhile, veteran Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane stated that the festival of Holi will bring a lot of positivity to the lives of people. “Wishing everyone a very Happy Holi! May your life be filled with colours and positivity, always,” read the tweet posted by Ajinkya Rahane.
