How good is the bat that Virat Kohli gifted to Danielle Wyatt?

Danielle Wyatt, the England batter, has been in the limelight ever since she had proposed Virat Kohli on social media. The Indian cricketer then had gifted Wyatt one of his cricket bats after meeting Wyatt during the 2014 tour. Last year, she had posted a picture of the bat gifted by Kohli and had expressed her delight while hitting the straps before the start of a new season.

With the same bat, she smashed a century during the India tour and also dedicated it to her father. However, the Indian fans have always been taking a dig at her by teasing the cricketer by the name of Kohli and also frequently ask her about the bat as well, and more importantly what she thought of it.

These questions were finally answered by the cricketer in her casual chat sessions with fans on Instagram. However, her response might not exactly bring a smile to the fans of India’s captain!

What did she say?

Danielle Wyatt decided to use the newly introduced ‘Ask me Anything’ feature on Instagram in which one the fans asked, “Are you using the bat gifted by Virat Kohli?” She had a hilarious reply to the question as the cricketer went on to say that few of her other bats are much better than his. “Sometimes in the nets. Yeah, my other bats are better”, the words were followed by an emoji which shows pulling someone’s leg,” she replied.

Virat Kohli and Danielle Wyatt had met during India’s tour of England in 2014. During the so-called ‘awkward’ meeting, the Indian batsman called her aside to say that one can’t do such things on social media as the fans take things seriously more often than not. However, Kohli also won her heart by gifting one of his own bats to her.

Wyatt made her international debut in March 2010 against India in Mumbai. She has played 61 ODIs and 83 T20Is. She has scored 994 runs in T20 international cricket and boasts of the highest score of 124. The Staffordshire cricketer has also claimed 46 T20I wickets.
