75 – Jos Buttler’s 75-ball century is the fastest for England in the World Cup. The previous fastest CWC ton by an England batsman came off 90 balls by Kevin Pietersen in 2007 against the Windies.

A Root special

2 – Joe Root became only the 2nd player to score more than one century in the World Cup for England. Root scored his maiden CWC ton against Sri Lanka in the 2015 edition. Kevin Pietersen also scored two centuries in the World Cups for England.

Malik returns after 12 years

12y 74d – Shoaib Malik featured in a World Cup game in 12 years and 74 days; the longest gap between two CWC appearances for a team.

Batsmen contribute for Pakistan
