Gautam Gambhir, the Indian former cricketer is one of the recognizable figures among the cricket fans of India. He hung his boots last year and turned his life’s direction towards Indian politics. Currently, he is an active part of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).

The Delhiite has achieved a lot more than it was expected from him in cricket. He achieved a feat that even Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t have his hands on. Gambhir has been a part of two World Cup-winning teams whereas Tendulkar could only be part of the 2011 World Cup India’s triumph.

It was Gambhir who remained an unsung hero of 2007 T20 World Cup as well as of 50 over mega event in 2011, who played a memorable inning of 75 runs in 2007 WT20 Final, followed by his innings of 97 runs in World Cup 2011 Final. He was a man of the finals, and never disappointed his fans when India needed him.

The former Indian cricketer has always been an outspoken figure over his advice for the Indian cricket and his rash comments against Pakistan cricketers if they comment anything about his own nation are easily visible to his fans, but now he has come out with a post that might have won the hearts of his fans and critics.

Gambhir’s tweet wins the heart of his fans

The Delhiite is very peculiar about his family and tries to spend as much time as he can. During the time of his career, it might have been difficult for him to spend time with his family but now he is living his life to the fullest. In his recent post of the 37-year-old, he has been seen playing with his two cute daughters. He has two daughters Aazeen and Anaiza.

In his tweet he wrote, “Gautam the cricketer, a terrible catcher, Gautam the father, an exceptional catcher.” It is widely known that Gambhir was not a brilliant fielder on the field but his batting skills always overshadow it, but in his tweet, Gautam has accepted he is better at being a father than being a catcher on the field.  Former Indian opener has played 58 Tests, 147 ODIs and 37 T20Is and scored more than 10,000 across all the formats.
