David Warner, the Australian batsman, has been pretty active on Tik-Tok over the last few months. The southpaw hasn’t played any cricket for nearly four months now due to the lockdowns imposed after the coronavirus pandemic. Despite not being on the field, the veteran has managed to stay connected to his fans and supporters though some hilarious clips on the short-video platform.
Warner has a massive fanbase in India as far as Tik-Tok is concerned. Most of his videos used to get a massive amount of engagement from the fans in India. In April, along with wife Candice, he shook his leg on the popular song Butta Bomma. Thereafter, he also danced on more songs to entertain his supporters. However, for the time being that may not be possible for the Aussie batter.
A few days, the Indian government banned 59 Chinese applications in India, including Tik-Tok. The step was taken after 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives in a cross-border fight with the Chinese troopers. After the incident, a number of people called for banning their products. In the meantime, Warner is still active on the platform and he posted the video on his Instagram handle.

However, one of the users reminded him that Tik-Tok has been banned in India. Replying to the message, Warner said that he is helpless in this scenario and people in the country should respect the government’s decision.
The 33-year-old replied to the user and wrote, “They are indeed but I can’t do anything about it being banned from India. That’s the government’s decision and people in India have to respect that,”

Warner was last seen on the field in an ODI against New Zealand in March at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The game was played behind closed doors and the series was called off after the opening match itself. He was also set to play for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
However, the tournament had to be postponed for an indefinite time period after the COVID-19 broke out. In the IPL, he is the leading run-scorer amongst the foreign players. He also led the SRH to victory in 2016 and has won the Orange Cap quite a few times.
