The onset and the proliferation of the global pandemic COVID-19 have put the entire world into lockdown and given the free time that everyone has right now, public figures from a variety of fields are taking it to social media to interact with their fans via a Q&A session. Australian white-ball captain and swashbuckling opener Aaron Finch joined the bandwagon on Friday where he interacted with the fans and answered a wide range of questions.

Finch was asked for his views by one of the Twitter users on the 2019 One-day International series incident where Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled him a delivery from well behind the popping crease. Although it was completely within the rules of the game, Finch was befuddled and proceeded to sway out the way, forcing the umpire to call it a dead ball.

The incident messed up Aaron Finch’s concentration to such an extent that he was pinned right in front of the wicket on the very next delivery.

Reacting on the incident, the Aussie opener said: “I had no idea what to do…shouldn’t have pulled away, I got out next ball…last ball of the over.”

The incident in question took place in the third One-day International of the three-match series during India’s historic 2018-19 tour of Australia. With the series locked at 1-1, Australia never got going and after Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed both the openers, Yuzvendra Chahal, en-route to his career-best figures of 6-42, spun the hosts in a web, paving way for an underwhelming total of 230. It was chased down with ease by the Men in Blue thanks to the calm-and-collected 87* by MS Dhoni and an equally brilliant knock by Kedar Jadhav (61*).

Aaron Finch picks his favourite Indian bowler

Coming back to Aaron Finch, the Aussie white-ball captain answered a wide range of questions including his favourite Indian bowler. He named the turbanator Harbhajan Singh as his favourite Indian bowler, saying that he loved Bhajji bowling in his prime, especially on spin-friendly tracks. “Loved Harbhajan Singh during his prime, especially on spinning wickets.” the Australian white-ball skipper replied on Twitter.
