After being released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore, wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was roped in by the Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2022. The move has turned out to be a spectacular one so far as he has lived up to the inaugural edition’s champions’ expectations and has been their most consistent performer with the ball in hand.

While Chahal has succeeded in bamboozling the best in the business this season including a match-winning hat-trick combined with a five-wicket haul against the KKR last month, the Haryana cricketer has opened up on who he enjoys playing with the most. He opened up on spin bowling partners including senior offie Ravichandran Ashwin and his long-time colleague and friend Kuldeep Yadav. Chahal also threw light on whom among the two he enjoys bowling most with.

“Kuldeep because we have played so many matches together, and I have the kind of bond with him where we can communicate without even speaking. That’s the kind of connection I have with him”, said Chahal while speaking on ESPNcricinfo.

Both Kuldeep and Chahal fondly known as ‘KulCha’ are among the leading wicket-takers of the ongoing season. Chahal is currently the highest wicket-taker of the season with 24 wickets from 13 matches while Kuldeep occupies the sixth spot in the Purple Cap list having registered 18 scalps to his name from 12 outings for the Delhi Capitals.

Chahal picked a wicket in Rajasthan’s crucial tie against the Lucknow Super Giants. Coming back to the contest, RR posted a fine total of 178 runs on the board on the back of crucial knocks by Devdutt Padikkal and Yashasvi Jaiswal where Samson also contributed in a fine manner. And, with a balanced bowling show, they choked LSG on 154 runs, winning the game by 24 runs. Trent Boult picked two wickets for RR while conceding only 18 runs in his quota of four overs.
