He is almost 40 years old. He has played international cricket for two decades now. But still, Shoaib Malik wants to go on and wants to play the sport that he loves so much. Malik emphatically declared that he is very clear in his head and has not even thought about retirement.

Adding that he is still very fit and has no retirement plans, the Pakistan cricketer stated that he can still contribute with both bat and ball. Malik further stated that he has also signed a two-year contract with a few leagues and there is no question of him announcing his retirement after the T20 World Cup.

Malik also said that he can still field in hotspots, can take two runs, and can also save two runs. He also said that his fitness levels are still at the top.

“I am saying very clearly today I have not even thought about retirement. I have no plans to retire now because I am fit, I can bat, and I can bowl. I have recently signed two-year contracts in some leagues so where does the question of me taking retirement after the World Cup arise.

I can field in hotspots, I can take two runs and I can save two runs. When I have to bowl I can also bowl and I am batting well. My fitness is top grade,” said Malik as quoted by The Indian Express.
