England pacer Mark Wood injured his elbow during the first Test of the recently concluded three-match series against West Indies. Consequently, he was ruled out of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) too. He was supposed to play for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) this season who signed Andrew Tye as his replacement. Wood also underwent a surgery on his elbow recently in London and is currently recovering from injury.

Meanwhile, a video featuring Wood has gone viral in which the cricket is under the effect of anesthesia and can be seen speaking anything out of context with a person present in his room.

The 32-year-old was irritated with his shoulder paining after undergoing elbow surgery and can be seen asking to the person if his shoulders are meant to be sore. “Is my shoulder meant to be sore?” Wood asked and after getting a response to the question, he said, “That’s weird though. I’ve have had elbow surgery but my shoulders are aching. I’ll still bowl fast.”

Continuing the conversation, the person in the room asked Mark Wood about missing IPL 2022 to which the cricketer said he is disappointed. However, in the video, he could be suddenly heard talking about Andy Flower who was England’s head coach. “I’m so sad! (for missing IPL 2022). I like Andy Flower, he is a nice guy,” Wood hilarious said. Barmy Army’s official handle shared the video of Mark Wood under the influence of anesthesia.

Australia cricketer David Warner was quick to respond to the tweet as he was left in splits watching Mark Wood speaking gibberish. However, he felt for the England pacer and stated that his shoulder also pained a lot after his elbow surgery. “Absolutely love this, I said the same thing with my elbow. what a legend woody is,” Warner’s reply read.
